  • Power Pack supplies fluid → Fluid enters cylinder chamber → Piston moves → Mechanical work is performed

  • In single-acting cylinders, the fluid moves the piston in one direction, with spring or gravity return.

  • In double-acting cylinders, fluid alternately enters both sides of the piston for controlled forward and reverse motion.
